PSU Football
With the exciting 2012 Penn State football season now complete, it’s time to start planning for the 2013 season and another fun year of tailgating outside Beaver Stadium with friends and family.

If you haven’t made plans yet, get started for Bill O’Brien’s second season as head coach. Click here to view the football reservation forms for our six hotel properties.

There are a number of great games on next year’s schedule including visits to Beaver Stadium from rivals Michigan and Nebraska. View the full schedule here.

Yet fans don’t have to wait until next August to enjoy Penn State football.

The 2013 Penn State football season unofficially kicks off with the 2013 Blue-White game. Annually one of the best weekends to visit Happy Valley, this year’s Blue-White weekend is scheduled to take place April 19-21, 2013.

The Blue White game will be held on Saturday April 20 at 2 p.m. If you haven’t experienced this spring game before, it’s truly a spectacle as the game has drawn crowds as big as 70,000 in the past. Admission to the game is free and so is parking.

In addition, fans get to go on the field before the game and meet players, get autographs and take pictures.

While it’s always good to see how the football team looks, there’s a lot more to Blue-White weekend than an intrasquad scrimmage. There are opportunities for fans to do some rare spring tailgating outside Beaver Stadium, while relaxing in the (hopefully) warm weather.

The Blue White carnival is always a good time. The carnival is held just outside Beaver Stadium and includes great rides food, fun, prizes live music and fireworks Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

More events for Blue White weekend will be announced as the event draws closer. However, one major event of the weekend that has been set in stone and it’s for a very good cause.

On April 21, the Fourth Annual Special Olympics PA Beaver Stadium Walk/Run 5k will take place. The course begins in front of the Bryce Jordan Center and makes its way through Penn State’s campus. Participants finish by running or walking through the Beaver Stadium tunnel and going out on the field! Click here for more information about this event and the PA Special Olympics.

Make it a full Blue White weekend. In addition to all the Blue White festivities, plenty of other fun options are available in Happy Valley. Hike Mt. Nittany, enjoy Happy Valley’s dining and nightlife at places such as Harrison’s Wine Grill and Catering, Gigi’s and Mad Mex, play some golf or do some shopping.
